To the critics: Where is Carl Edwards now?

So it was six races ago when Carl Edwards and his team was being questioned about consistency, even by fans.  It was after a race in New Hampshire that car owner Jack Roush stepped in and told his teams to get on the ball or else.  Since that race in New Hampshire, Carl Edwards has been the hottest driver on the Sprint Cup Series circuit; scoring four top-five finishes, and six top-tens, and a 12th place finish last weekend in Bristol.

Edwards has rallied to being only 39 points from dropping out of the Chase after the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona to now putting a 293 spread between himself and 13th place Jamie McMurray with only two races remaining before the Chase starts.  Edwards  best finish came at Chicagoland with a second place effort behind David Reutimann and has rallied in the points ever since.  It was that same weekend in Daytona that Edwards left behind Dale Earnhardt Jr., that things began to turn around.  Now six events later, Edwards is fourth in the standings, and where is Dale Jr.?  He sits 18th and highly unlikely to make the Chase after a huge stir was made after his second place finish in Daytona that things were turning for him.

Now Edwards looks to have one of the most consistent teams in the garage area and had it not been for three lugs being left loose in Bristol; Edwards would have likely finished in the top-five.  Edwards just has to leave Atlanta in two weeks with a 180 point spread over 13th to start the race at Richmond and make the Chase.  So to those critics and a few fans that criticized this team back after New Hampshire, what do you have to say now?
